“Get Fit Forsyth: Are Your Employees Up to the Challenge?” U.S. Olympian, Best-Selling Author and Fitness/Running Guru, Jeff Galloway, to Share Tips with Forsyth County Businesses on How Employees Can Get Fit and Stay Healthy

WHAT: Jeff Galloway, U.S. Olympian (1972), best-selling author and one of the nation’s leading experts on fitness, running and marathons will address Forsyth County businesses at noon on Monday, August 28, 2006 in a lunchtime series for businesses: “Get Fit Forsyth: Are Your Employees Up to the Challenge?” Galloway, race director of the annual Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk & Fitness Program – a 5K corporate run/walk held each September in downtown Atlanta, will offer practical tips to Forsyth County businesses on how they can motivate, inspire and implement a corporate fitness program for their employees regardless of company size.
The event, sponsored by the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce (CFCCOC), Town Loafer Magazine and Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center, is open to all members of the business community interested in learning more about starting a fitness program at work and how they can participate in this year’s Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk, held on Thursday, September 21, 2006 in downtown Atlanta.
The CFCCOC recently issued a “Chamber Challenge” to neighboring chambers of commerce, including Gwinnett, Greater North Fulton and Cobb, for an award that recognizes metro area’s “most fit” or healthiest chamber of commerce.

The KPCRW is a unique workplace-organized fitness event designed to inspire fun, fitness and camaraderie among Atlanta’s corporate community. The event began in Atlanta in 1983 with 900 participants from a handful of Atlanta companies. Today, the KPCRW attracts close to 20,000 participants from 600+ businesses and has grown to become the largest workplace organized corporate fitness event in the world.
